Persona 1 (Martin Riggs): When using his laptop or smart device, Mr Riggs loves to use IMBD to watch movie and TV trailers. The only complain this person about IMDB is that it has slow web browsing.
Person 2 (Irene Fletcher): When using her laptop or smart device, Ms Fletcher uses IMDB to view when the next movie starts and where, along with any known parents guides to view with the movie she wants to watch. The only issue she sees with IMDB is that it is slow to use on the web, and the usability process can be smoother.

Here on the homepage, I left the carousel, but left out alot of the other features as it was very busy to the eye from a designer's standpoint. I did, however, leave the featured movies of the week, top news and born today features.
What To Watch (right)
I left the What To Watch page as carousels for both of the "what to watch slides" and "recommendations", I thought it would easier on the eye and not look so busy.
